Yes, this evening I have been at the dentist. I have 3 brand new fillings, a fat lip and a very shocked credit card. And I have to go back in a couple of weeks for more of the same, and there's the looming threat of wisdom tooth removal as well. Lucky, lucky me.
Also if you're interested in entering the discussion on facial hair we're having over at the Divas blog, do hope on over and say hi to our guest blogger Caitlyn Nicholas.
Happy mid-week,
Sami

From the Vault
From the vault is over at the Divas this week, coz I gotta consolidate my posting at the moment. It's well worth a look, let me just say. It has something to do with this:
Now you need to know what it's all about, don't you?

Romance Heroes
I've blogged over at the Divas today about romance heroes and their jobs--love vampire cowboys or hate 'em? Would love to hear your thoughts on that.
I'll be updating here soon too, should have time tomorrow. I'm reading a very engrossing writing craft book at the moment and will probably give it plug. Am also writing some. Trying to initiate some changes in my habits, based partly on said writing craft book.
Now I'm off to make myself a coffee.
Talk soon,
Sami

Kisses and Giveaways
I'm over at the Samhain Cafe chatting about myself (shouldn't take long eh?). I'll be talking first kisses and anything else that comes up. Come over and join me and you could win a book or a gift voucher, or you could just have a good time. Why don't you find out.
Also, I've blogged over at the Divas about movie kiss scenes, with pics and all. I was going to load them here to my blogger started having a heart attack of some sort and time is short here today. Kids are occupied with Dora, but who knows how long that'll last?
If you want to go in the draw to win a copy or any of my backlist titles or a $10 gift certificate from My Bookstore and More (that’s two separate prizes) all you have to do is leave a comment here or at The Divas. Vote for your favorite kiss or tell me the one you wish was on the list and you’ll go into the draw... or just say hi. It’s that simple.
Thanks for stopping by!

Cherub's First and Last Cheeseburger
Took the kidlets to Maccas last night, because cooking just becomes a drudgery when it's required every night doesn't it? Cherub Two had a happy meal and made quick work of it. This morning? I've had to change her nappy THREE times already, and it's not even lunch time. She's a crap machine, thanks to the not-so-happy-for-mummy meal. You shall now be annointed The Crappy Meal.

Because Thursday is really the only time I can manage it, it's become my blog slut day. I've blogged at The Romantix on the five best things about the RWA conference, and over at the Divas I've talked about music and its place in my writing process. Do swing by and check those out if you can. Come on, I managed to write them in between nappy changes, it's the least you can do!!!!
Love,

Been Busy Again
Oh yeah, check out my new look. I don't have time for this, truly, truly I don't. But who can resist going all red every once in a while? I feel vibrant--completely knackered from last weekend's RWA conference and a week of mad writing since, but vibrant nonetheless.
More news is that four of us e pubbed romance authors made the snap decision to create a group blog. After finally meeting face-to-face and spending all weekend laughing our heads off, we figured it might be fun,. If you haven't already met Rhian, Jess or Lexxie, you can do so over at Down Under Divas. We're live as of tonight and our header is looking fine. JUST like us. Really.
BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE. It was my day to blog over at Samhain, so you'll find one of my famous writerly rants over there this week. I'm ripping my ms to shreds in edits/polishing at the moment, so am not in the mood to write cheerful stuff. Be warned.
Now hubby has put on Quantam of Solace. When that happens, you know what time it is. It's ogling Daniel Craig time baby. G'night.

Cute Ass
Made you look! Yes, I'm eeeevvviiillll.
Now that I've got you here time for some shameless promotion of yet another group writers' blog. Oh another one, you say. But don't be quick to dismiss, this one will be different. We're not sure exactly how yet but there's real potential there.
Some writer friends and I have created a new group blog. You can find the link to the Romantix on my blog roll or click here. We'll each be posting once a week on topics that are near and dear to our heart, like writing and reading, for the most part. Feel free to swing by that blog if you'd like to check it out. I've posted the first week's introductory post.
Thanks

Closet Dwellers
I'm blogging over at the Samhain Weblog today (midnight tonight Oz time, yesterday morning for the Americans), about being in or out of the closet. About romance writing that is. Feel free to drop by there and visit.
Am at my parents' house at the moment, visiting. Trying to settle two unwilling to be settled children more like it. This after a three hour drive, 2 hours of which were spent fielding the inevitable 'Why aren't we there yet?' questions. How come they always ask that one? I'm completely, as the Brits would say, shagged.

My First Ever
I'm blogging over at TRS Blue today about the first romance novel I ever read, and how much I hated it. Yep, that's right. It turned into a bit of a rant about how people disrespect romance as a genre but what can you expect from me at the moment? I have a self-imposed deadline and a teething infant to deal with. I'm feeling very over extended. Only three days until the clock runs out and I'm writing the big ending right now. At least right after this, if I don't drop first. Yikes.

Blogging Elsewhere
I'm blogging over at Samhain today about the association between sex and food. I had a whole other topic in mind but for some reason--I blame my characters--I got sidetracked by the food/sex relationship. Hmm...Have been largely ignoring blogland of late, due to time constraints, but will be traveling all around this week to promo the book, which comes out NEXT WEEK. Has that time flown or is it just me? Yet again I've opened my eyes and realised it's December, and my annual promise that I will complete all my Christmas shopping before the dreaded D-Month has been broken, which is my yearly tradition. I guess it's comforting to be able to count on something, even if it's the fact you can't count on me to be organised.
Have a great weekend,
Sami
