Breaking a Sweat

It's done. I've sent Sunset Knight off to my editor and now it's time to sweat it out. I absolutely detest this part of the process, the agonising wait to hear whether my brainchild will be published or not. That's probably why I have so much trouble writing my endings, because I know a finished book means I have to go through THIS part. Princess Three actually asked what was wrong with me this morning as I checked my inbox for a confirmation email (received: yes. Any clue that ed wants to offer contract based on my query and brilliant synopsis alone: sadly lacking). Evidently, I appeared close to a major coronary event. It certainly felt that way.

So that's enough discussion on that. Can only move on from here and try to fight the obsessive worrying. I certainly have enough other crapola on my plate to keep me occupied. Hubby is still away, due back Saturday night. Two more sleeps as they say. I'm going to try my best not to race out the door the second he gets in, leaving him to his turn with the kids. I suppose I should say hello first :). Princess has given that naughty corner a work out the past three weeks, let me tell you, Cherub has started crawling and hence getting into everything, and I seriously need some accupuncture for my poor abused back. A bottle of chardy all to myself would be good too, but alas, I've started a healthy eating plan (nobody calls it a DIET anymore apparently). I've been following the Weight Watchers plan for the past 3 weeks. I'm going to post my progress here every week, Bridget Jones style, in order to keep myself accountable. Hope it works.
Weight Loss Goal: 15kg

  1. LOL @ the nervous breakdowns.
I'm waiting as well, checking the inbox a hundred times a day even when I know it's the middle of the night where the editor is. *sigh* There really should be a better way.
    Fingers crossed for you.

  2. You know I want to see this book contracted. Brody deserves his place in the MBaM top 10.

Just one more sleep til hubby gets home, and then: Free time! You can do it.

    Congrats on the diet.
    My goal: Lose 10kg.
    Progress so far: Gained 2.5.
    Sigh.
